Lifting Kids Up through Lifting
The Cleveland Powerlifting Club provides a safe and healthy environment for underprivileged teens from the Cleveland Metropolitan School District to train and compete in the sport of powerlifting. For many, it is their only substantive opportunity to be active, see friends, and feel a sense of normalcy. This program serves as a guide for students to learn about their boundless abilities and potential achievements. Our student athletes are diligently training toward the goal of qualifying for the USA Powerlifting High School Nationals competition. This is a one-of-kind opportunity for these students and a potential pathway to scholarships and college opportunities.
“Our powerlifting program is dedicated to providing a safe and healthy environment for all students of the CMSD. This program is not simply about lifting weights; it is an opportunity for these students to challenge themselves, learn leadership skills, and develop a strong work ethic.”
